Hello and welcome to the Scholars International Group Learning Series! I’m Karishma Bhansali Mehta, the Programme Director. This series exemplifies SIG’s unwavering commitment to fostering lifelong learning for our parents, partners, and the broader community.
As we stand at the forefront of an AI revolution, our future holds boundless opportunities and challenges. To thrive in this evolving landscape, lifelong learning is not just important—it’s essential.
As your Programme Director, I am thrilled to present a series filled with engaging, thought-provoking content designed to ignite your curiosity and inspire meaningful action. Our sessions will cover a diverse range of topics, including longevity, health, wellness, parenting, education, finance, real estate, AI, future readiness, and the critically important arts, literature, and authorship.
A bit about me: I am an experienced journalist and content creator with 18 years in the field. My journey in journalism began after moving to Antwerp, Belgium, where I completed my Post Graduate Diploma with the London School of Journalism. I worked for INEP, an EU-India News Agency Project under the European Union in Brussels, covering European Union and India-related news for over 500 media outlets across India. My exclusive interview portfolio includes prominent figures such as former Belgian Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt and former NATO Head Anders Fogh Rasmussen for NDTV. I also contributed to The Bulletin, the EU’s first-ever English expat publication, writing on topics ranging from community and culture to food and travel.
In 2013, I moved to Dubai with my family and began freelancing for various publications and media houses, including Media Quest Corp, Gulf News, and the World Government Summit. I pursued a specialist degree in new media and broadcast journalism at the World Media Academy in Dubai, earning an award for broadcast journalism in 2016. In 2018, I founded As We Speak, a 21st-century parenting platform offering relevant, timely information on issues ranging from technology and sustainability to mental health.
Every topic in our learning series will be explored with insights from leading experts, industry gurus, and distinguished professionals, ensuring you receive content that is credible, relatable, and highly inspiring. We will also address pressing issues such as climate change, digital literacy, mental health, and sustainable living, preparing you for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Join us on this exciting journey of continuous learning and discovery. Each session is meticulously crafted to provide you with valuable insights and practical knowledge to enrich your life and empower your future. This is our promise: to deliver content that is both informative and motivating.
We eagerly anticipate your active participation and engagement. Let’s embark on this transformative path of growth and knowledge together.
Warm regards,
Karishma Bhansali Mehta
